Important Things to Know About Airport Transfers
The most common mistake with Istanbul Airport transfers is not accounting for traffic hours. Weekday mornings from 07:30-10:00 and evenings from 16:00-20:00, Istanbul traffic is extremely heavy. If you need to reach the airport during these hours, we recommend departing at least 2 hours early. With VIP transfer, your driver knows the traffic and chooses the optimal route.
Since Sabiha Gokcen Airport is on the Asian side, passengers coming from the European side should factor in bridge crossing time. The July 15 Martyrs Bridge and FSM Bridge are particularly congested in the evening. The Eurasia Tunnel can be used as an alternative route.
For international flights, passport control and luggage collection can take 30-45 minutes. For domestic flights, this drops to 15-20 minutes.
